Holidays with children on a farm
The world of animals at the farm resort
Love animals and learn for life.
You can't start early enough, we think. That's why our small farm is also available to our youngest guests as a learning farm during their holiday. And there really is a lot to discover and learn. Ponies, cows, calves, woolly and domestic pigs, geese, ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, cats and guinea pigs. Many animals want to be stroked.
Bilingual display boards, in German and English, show our farm animals and provide all the important information in a child-friendly way. This is a fun way for children to learn about our animals, nature and the plant world. Valuable knowledge that they can use again and again. The exploration tour on the farm can be quite intense for the little ones, because the farm animals don't just want to be stroked. During feeding time in the afternoon, carer Erika is happy to explain everything about feeding habits and animal care to the youngest guests. Our cows are fed by farmers Alfons, Hubert or Tobias in the late afternoon or early evening. You can meet our farmers in the barn and find out the exact times from them. From mid-June to mid-September, some of our cows are on pasture, the rest graze directly in our village and can be visited on leisurely walks.
Habachklause farm rally
With our Kids Club, we visit the Habachklause farm, see what the animals are up to in the barn and on the meadow and show the children the ponies' home. Together with the Kids Club caregivers, they learn what the animals like to eat. Of course, they can also be stroked. Then it's off to the farm rally! Whoever knows the most about the cows, calves, ponies, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, geese, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs after the tour is the winner. So pay close attention!
Pony riding and pony riding courses at the farm resort
From April to November, kids can ride ponies for free 2 to 3 times a week according to the Kids Club programme (fixed times in the afternoon). Together with the caregivers, they go to the riding arena and each child can ride a pony for free. Of course you can also book professional riding lessons: Our riding instructors Erika, Doris and Denise show children from the age of 3 how to saddle up properly, sit on horseback and lead the pony. You can book the riding course before you arrive or directly on site at the hotel reception.
Lead your own pony
If you are already experienced and can ride and saddle the pony yourself, you can take the pony for 25 minute walk accompanied by your parents. Appointments can be booked at reception, subject to availability. Only possible from April to November. Please be informed, that our shetland ponys are only allowed to carry a max. weight of 20 kg!
