The Emerald Trail in the Bramberg Habachtal valley brings children and parents closer to the scenic beauty of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Along the way, you will learn interesting facts about the mineralogy and geology of the Habach Valley. Entertaining adventure stations await you on the hike, such as a talking stone, the spring realm, a stone play garden and much more. The Emerald Trail then leads through gentle, lightly wooded Alpine pastures before you reach the Enzianhütte and later the Gasthaus Alpenrose. The highlight of the Emerald Trail is the debris flow near the Alpenrose inn. Here you can dig emeralds yourself. You can get the right tools for this at reception or at the Gasthaus Alpenrose. It is possible to take the Habachtal taxi into the valley and/or back again. You are not allowed to drive your own car into the valley as it is a national park area. The path is easily accessible with our Thule buggy.
